Blackwell Pool will miss Memorial Weekend opening; Passes on sale

MEMORIAL POOL TO MISS WEEKEND OPENING; PASSES ON SALE NOW

The Blackwell Memorial Pool will NOT be opening on the traditional Memorial Day weekend this week, according to the City of Blackwell. 

"Due to unexpected pump failure [The Memorial Pool] will not be opening this weekend- Please follow our page for updates as they come," a statement from the Memorial Pool & City of Blackwell read on Monday, May 19. 

"Our crews are working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible," the official statement continued. 

Despite the setback, passes are available this week on Tuesday May 20 and Wednesday May 21 at the Memorial Pool from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Meanwhile, Tonkawa's Public Pool will be opening on schedule May 24 from Noon to 5 p.m. at 801 N Main in Tonkawa.
