Donations Being Accepted For Annual Back-to-School Breakfast
July 23, 2026
The Blackwell Chamber of Commerce is once again calling on the community to help welcome Blackwell Public Schools faculty and staff with its annual Back-to-School Breakfast before the start of the 2026-27 school year.
The breakfast, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3, has become a longstanding tradition that gives local businesses and residents an opportunity to show appreciation for the educators and school employees who serve Blackwell students each day.
To make the event possible, the Chamber is currently accepting monetary donations and gift certificates from the community.
Monetary donations and gift certificates may be dropped off at BancFirst. Checks should be made payable to the Blackwell Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber is asking for all donations to be submitted by Friday, July 24, to allow organizers time to prepare for the event.
In addition to providing breakfast for Blackwell Public Schools faculty and staff, donated gift certificates and other contributions will be used to help recognize educators as they prepare for the new academic year.
Chamber officials say the breakfast is one of several annual efforts aimed at strengthening partnerships between the local business community and Blackwell schools.
Those interested in contributing or seeking additional information may contact the Blackwell Chamber of Commerce by emailing director@blackwellchamber.org or calling (580) 363-4195.
Community members who wish to support the event are encouraged to donate before the July 24 deadline to help give Blackwell educators a warm welcome as they begin another school year.
A healthy Kay County requires great community news.
